WELLNESS EXAMS

Regular wellness exams are the best way to keep your pet healthy and prevent disease and illness before they become difficult - and costly - to treat. We recommend yearly physical examinations for all pets, though more frequent exams are encouraged. During a physical examination, we listen to your pet's heart and lungs, evaluate his or her vision, look for any unusual lumps or swelling, check your pet's teeth and oral cavity and examine his or her joints for signs of arthritis and swelling, among other procedures.

Routine examinations give us an opportunity to develop a picture of your pet's overall health. Examinations are also essential in detecting problems before they become serious health issues. During an exam, we may also talk to you about home healthcare for your pet. An examination is also a good time for your pet to get up-to-date on his or her vaccinations.
